– Coached at Creighton Prep before he moved to Elkhorn
– Coached the Midget team for Elkhorn Legion Baseball (called the Juniors now) – Head Coach from 1989 – 2000
– Won Juniors State Championships in 1993, 1995, 1998, and 1999
– Volunteered for the Elkhorn High School spring team
– Chairman of the Baseball Committee at American Legion Post #1
– Was in charge of the Collin-Orcutt All Star Game
– Was known by all as “Coach”
– All-State athlete at Elkhorn High School
– Three sport letter winner at Omaha University (Football, Basketball, Baseball)
– Member of the 1959 NAIA Runner-Up OU Indians
– 1984 NBCA Juniors Coach of the Year at Creighton Prep
– 1998 NBCA Juniors Coach of the Year at Elkhorn
